A new dawn for Polar
For the past 14 months we’ve been keeping quiet on our platforms.
That’s because behind-the scenes the Polar team has been working hard to redefine our brand and sharpen our mission focus.
Welcome to the start of our journey as the new Polar. Creative by nature.
Back in 2013, Polar started with a £100 budget and an old university laptop. Our vision then is that same as it is now: Love what you do, be kind, deliver. REPEAT.
In the early days, our vision meant leaflet distribution, long hours on twitter, and lots of free work. And although times have changed, this period taught us a lot. Most importantly, surround yourself with people who are better than you, people you can learn from, and people who inspire you.
Things haven’t always been easy but it’s how you react that determines your future. In the beginning, that was filling up with £3 of fuel to make a client meeting, quickly rectifying technology faults, or re-focusing after losing words on stage to a crowd of branding-experts.
Today it feels like it’s all been worth it.
The here and now.
Our refined brand and website has been the culmination of 14 months of thinking. Who are we? Why are we different? Why do we exist? What do we want to be?
For the first time we decided to treat ourselves like one of our clients. This meant following the Polar process and running a brand workshop to give us the direction we needed.
Polar has always had a strong sense of identity but our positioning has evolved since we first started. Our client base is no longer local and our global portfolio and messaging needed to align with our values and vision.
After exploring many options, Polar has rebranded to capture essence of who we are, and we’re so excited to share it with the world. And to top it all - we’re now a B Corp too.
What you see today is the result of amazing people. Our team, our clients, our suppliers. They are the ones that have made this such an exciting journey and have helped to steer our future.
What happens next?
We love that we’re constantly changing and we don’t intend to stop.
We know where we want to go and how to get there.
We didn’t come this far only to get this far.
See you on the other side.
