This role is open to a Junior, Mid-weight, or Senior Designer. 

We're looking for a highly conceptual, detail focussed designer to join our team in Chelmsford, Essex.

About you

You’re an excellent problem solver and love finding extraordinary solutions to design challenges, giving our clients the best possible service.

A proactive, self-motivated and collaborative individual, you thrive in a fast paced environment, supporting the team to ensure work gets delivered on time with a consistently high level of execution.

Ideally you will have experience in managing all aspects of the creative process, from research, development and delivery. You will also be happy working directly with clients.


What we’re looking for

- Minimum of 2 Years experience within a commercial design studio environment

- A strong creative portfolio

- Good knowledge of Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

- Meticulous attention to detail

- Great communication skills and ability to work directly with clients

- Open minded approach to creative briefs

- Ability to read, understand and deliver to brief

- Ability to to work on multiple projects and respond in a fast paced environment

- Ability to develop ideas and outstanding creative based on strategy and research

- Support in the development of projects from initial concept through to completion

- Driven to bring outstanding creative to each project

- A team player, willing to take on feedback and provide feedback to others

- Oversee and mentor interns any less-experienced creatives

- Ambitious and driven

- Be upbeat. We don’t take ourselves too seriously!


Desirable

- Experience in developing brands

- Experience in designing websites (Preferably in Adobe XD or Figma)

- Illustration 

- Motion Graphics

The Role:

Polar are on the prowl for a web developer.

We’re a small creative agency – born and bred in Chelmsford. As a rapidly growing agency, we’re looking for someone who thinks innovatively, enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is able to overcome obstacles in the ever-changing face of design.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all aspects of our web process, from research, development and delivery. You will also be happy working directly with clients.

Responsibilities:

- Developing and maintaining websites for a variety of clients

- Managing all aspects of our web process, from research, development, and delivery

- Working closely with clients to understand their needs and provide digital solutions

- Collaborating with the design team to ensure that design and functionality are aligned

- Managing multiple projects and responding to a fast-paced environment

- Bringing outstanding digital solutions to each project

- Providing feedback to others and being a team player

- Demonstrating a focus on delivering quality work with a keen eye for detail


Requirements:

- Minimum of two years experience building and developing websites, ideally in an agency

- A strong and varied website portfolio

- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript

- Good knowledge of domains, DNS & website hosting

- Meticulous attention to detail

- Excellent organisational skills

- Focussed and able to be proactive

- Great communication skills and ability to work directly with clients

- Open-minded approach to design and development

- Ability to digest, understand and deliver to specification

- Ability to work on multiple projects and respond in a fast-paced environment

- Driven to bring outstanding execution to each project

- A team player, willing to take on feedback and provide feedback to others

- Ambitious and driven


Desirable:

- WordPress experience

- Webflow experience

- Figma / Adobe XD experience

- Adobe Creative Cloud experience
