Here & There 03 - Monthly roundup from the studio

Another instalment of our monthly roundup - taking a look at what we’ve been up to. From what inspires us, our work and what we’ve been watching, reading or listening to.

What we've been working on

We’ve been busy working on a brand for an exciting new tech acquisitions company, which will be launching in the next few weeks.

What we've been up to

Jess indulged in some culture – visiting the ‘Gaia’ installation at Chelmsford Cathedral.

It is a touring artwork of our planet earth by UK artist Luke Jerram. Measuring six metres in diameter it showcases the earth’s surface – created solely from 120dpi NASA imagery.

When you enter the cathedral the size of the installation had great impact – it was impressively suspended in the nave of the cathedral giving each person the opportunity to view the planet from a new and different perspective. Floating in three dimensions, you got to experience seeing the earth as astronauts do from space. From where we were standing it highlighted the sheer scale of our planet but also the vulnerability of it too. Definitely worth a visit if it's touring near you...

We joined the B Corp community in attending the 1000xBetter event at the Natural History Museum - an evening celebrating the 1000 UK B Corps milestone.

You can read a little more about the event here.

What's caught our eye

BOLA is an initiative by Pupila and Alive and Kicking, the world's first non-for-profit ball manufacturer, that invited one designer/studio from each of the 32 World Cup countries to design a custom ball, with all sale proceeds going to support the organisation.

Joy Garden © Morag Myerscough. Photography: Gareth Gardner

London-based artist Morag Myerscough has teamed up with the Children's Hospital Charity Artfelt to transform Sheffield Children's Hospital courtyard into a vibrant oasis. The result is a burst of geometric shapes and colours designed to bring some joy when patients, families and staff need it most.
